Created by René Ramillon and Andrè Vincent back in 1952, Moncler - short for Monestier-de-Cleremont started out making down jackets for laborers who needed dependable warmth and durability while working in extreme temperatures.

Throughout the decades between Olympic competition and epic expeditions, Moncler’s reputation would only grow which meant everyone wanted a piece, even if there were no summits or skin slopes in their future.
